Combining Enforcement Strategies in Service Oriented Architectures
نویسندگان
چکیده
Business regulations on enterprise applications cover both infrastructure and orchestration levels of the SOA environment. Thus, for a correct and efficient enforcement of such requirements, full integration among different enforcement middleware is necessary. Based on previous work [1], we make a comparison between enforcement capabilities at business and infrastructure level. Our contribution is to make a first step towards a policy enforcement model that combines the strengths of the orchestration level enforcement mechanisms with those of the message bus. The advantage of such a model is (1) that infrastructure and orchestration requirements are enforced by the most appropriate mechanisms, and (2) the ability to enforce regulations that would be otherwise impossible to enforce by a single mechanism. We present the architecture and a first prototype of such a model to show its feasibility.

Usage Control in Service-Oriented Architectures
Usage control governs the handling of sensitive data after it has been given away. The enforcement of usage control requirements is a challenge because the service requester in general has no control over the service provider’s information processing devices. We analyze applicable trust models, conclude that observation-based enforcement is often more appropriate than enforcement by direct cont...
متن کاملA Service-oriented Approach to Mobile Code Security
Client software for modern service-oriented web architectures is often implemented as mobile code applets made available by service-providers. Protecting clients from malicious mobile code is therefore an important concern in these architectures; however, the burden of security enforcement is typically placed entirely on the client. This approach violates the service-oriented paradigm. A method...
متن کاملA Reference Architecture for Automation of Inter-Organizational Process-Oriented Collaboration
In today’s competitive, dynamic, and changing business environment, being able to collaborate globally within and beyond the enterprise borders is critical. Inter-Organizational Collaborations (IOCs) have been proposed as a response to the characteristics of highly competitive global business environments. So far, a number of reference models, frameworks, and ad hoc architectures related to som...
متن کاملA P2P-Based Composed Service Market
Service-oriented peer-to-peer architectures combine the benefits of service-oriented architectures and peer-to-peer networks, such as loose coupling and scalability. They also support service composition, the combining of existing services into new ones. Until now, only composition service strategies for a single peer acting as a service composer have been investigated. Therefore, this report i...
متن کاملRegulated Open Multi-Agent Systems Based on Contracts
In our work we deal with the problem of engineering Regulated Open Multiagent Systems. Our method integrates open multi-agent systems and service-oriented architectures. Moreover, e-contracting and regulation enforcement mechanisms are integrated in order to control the behaviour of the agents.
